Based in the Hautes Alpes and passionate about our mountains, we rent 10 chalets in Vars and Montgenèvre that can accommodate 12 to 24 people. Allow us to introduce our typical chalet named "Le Mouflon," a south-facing 160 m² chalet for 14 people, located ski-in/ski-out in Vars les Claux and facing the Eyssina ridges. Le Mouflon is situated in a peaceful neighborhood and is ideal for family gatherings, friends' getaways, or even corporate retreats, providing a home-like atmosphere.
Open year-round, we offer weekend or weekly rentals for this chalet. Weekly rentals are available from late December to late March and from early July to late August.
We are a small team, always available to assist our guests and enhance your stay. We can connect you with service providers for meals or certified instructors for outdoor activities, whether the resort is open or closed. Additionally, we can arrange sessions with yoga teachers or osteopaths for relaxation and rejuvenation at the chalet.
Indulge in the comfort of a ski-in/ski-out chalet, where you can ski in and out all week long. Enthusiastic skiers can leave the chalet as soon as the slopes open at 9:00 am, while those who prefer to enjoy their coffee and croissant delivery can join them on the slopes later. Everyone can easily return to the chalet for a group lunch!
Access to the ski slopes can be done through a 200 m off-piste path (requiring a 1-star skiing level) or by walking to the center of the resort. Once there, you'll find options for all tastes, from the children's Piou-Piou garden to the challenging black runs for the more adventurous.
The chalet is a 5-minute walk from the heart of the resort, where you'll find shops, restaurants, a cinema, and the tourist office. You won't need your car during your entire stay.
A GUIDED TOUR OF THE CHALET:
The chalet features 6 bedrooms, 4 fully equipped bathrooms, and a dedicated children's area. At the entrance, there is a storage area for removing and storing skis and boots. The living room is separated from the dining area by a fireplace with an insert, perfect for enjoying a hot chocolate by the fire and spending convivial moments after a day of skiing. It opens onto a 25 m² south-facing terrace, where you can have outdoor meals.
On the ground floor, at the garden level, there is another south-facing terrace with a private outdoor jacuzzi heated year-round to 37°C for your relaxation, as well as a garden lounge.
The chalet is equipped with all the amenities you need, including WiFi, 4 televisions, 3 DVD players, a dishwasher, a washing machine, a dryer, a US refrigerator with a freezer, baby and children's equipment, a gas barbecue, and more.

If you choose to visit during the summer, the Hautes-Alpes region presents an array of enticing opportunities. With 300 days of sunshine per year, it's a haven for cycling enthusiasts. Embark on family bike rides with electric mountain bikes or explore the thrilling downhill mountain bike tracks equipped with jumps and turns throughout the domain. Don't miss the exhilarating 32 km downhill mountain bike trail connecting Vars to Embrun, the longest in Europe. Road cyclists can indulge in the numerous accessible mountain passes that make Vars an ideal destination.
Vars, situated at the convergence of the Ecrins, Queyras, and Ubaye valleys, is a central starting point for countless hiking adventures in the Southern Alps. Explore the diverse forms of mountain water, from serene lakes for swimming or paddle boating, to picturesque waterfalls encountered during invigorating hikes leading to high-altitude lakes. Thrill-seekers can enjoy rafting and inflatable canoeing along the lively Durance River. Serre Ponçon Lake offers pristine beaches for relaxation and water activities such as wakeboarding, boating, or kitesurfing.
The region offers a range of activities for children, including an adventure park with courses suitable for the adventurous, horseback riding at an equestrian center, orienteering in the Queyras Regional Park, farm animal visits, and exciting options like climbing, via ferrata, and canyoning. The chalet also includes a ping-pong table for added entertainment.

SERVICES PROVIDED BY CHALETS HOSSZU:
- Delivery of fresh bread and pastries in the morning (available in summer and winter when the bakery is open).
- Possibility of meal delivery (half-board with a caterer or private chef throughout the year).
- Final cleaning included, with the option of daily cleaning.
- Linens included during Christmas and February school holidays, optional for the rest of the year.
- We can connect you with certified instructors who can accompany you in all your sports activities throughout the year, whether you are a beginner or an advanced athlete (ski touring, alpine skiing, mountaineering, climbing, fat-biking, etc.).
- We are a small team, always available to assist our guests before and during their stay.
During the winter and summer seasons, the chalet is rented from Saturday to Saturday, with the possibility of weekend rentals depending on the period. We accept dogs but not cats. We also rent 5 other chalets for 12 to 24 people in Vars and 4 chalets for 16 to 22 people in Montgenèvre. Feel free to ask us for more information about your group!
